How can I use Vulkana?

Vulkana is 75 feet long vessel builds in 1957. The architect Sami Rintala was inspired by Japanese, Arabic, Finnish and Icelandic bathing culture for his re-design and transformation of this former whaling trawler.

The vessel has hamam, wooden fire sauna, hot tub, a restaurant where we can seat up to 12 guests and six passengers cabin.

Our restaurant is known for suburb seafood and exiting young chefs with international experience. We create delicious dishes using local ingredients. It is an exclusive and intimate atmosphere dining at Vulkana.

We take pride in serving organic, fresh and healthy local food. Local fishermen de- liver our fish, our meat comes from organic farmers. The Lien organic herb farm in Lyngen provides all herbs, vegetables, tomatoes and spices. We can seat 12 people. Please reserve a table in advance.

Vulkana can provide a relaxing trip for a total number of 18 guests where we focus on the bathing facilities onboard. We also give our guests athe oportunity to take a refreshing dip in the arctic ocean. A warm meal is served onboard on the way back.  

Get together with 12 friends and, between February and April, you can hire Vulkana for three days of winter indulgence. sail from Tromsø and spend your days skiing the Lyngen Alps

Vulkana has received considerable international attention and has been featured in magazines such as Wallpaper, Urban Daddy, Business Today, CNN and many more.

You can watch the northern light from our 40-42 degress saltwater hottub on deck or even from the wooden fire sauna. If you want a relaxing evening then the Hamam in the Zen Lounge a good alternative.

    Hver Lørdag (såfremt at båten ikke er på langtur) så arrangerer vi Laugardagr fra kl. 12.00 - 14.30. Vi drar på tur og kan tilby en varm saltvannstamp, vedfyrt sauna, en fiskesuppe og et havbad for de som ønsker en arktisk avrivning.Ta med badetøy!
